Hole 9

Par 5

Men: 483m, index 5

Women: 417m, index 6.

This is a straight par 5 with plenty of trouble on the left side. A hazard running down the left hand side of the fairway virtually up to the green makes the right side of the fairway the obvious choice of play. If you are a long hitter off the tee, you may decide to “have a go” at the green for your second shot. The green is well bunkered left and right and trouble lurks behind the green. A wide 2nd shot will find trouble in a hazard on either side of the fairway/green. The average golfer should lay up with their second shot middle-right of the fairway, short of the dip in front of the green. Smart play for your approach shot is to find the middle of the green and not to try to be too fancy. The green is well contoured which makes putting interesting. Try to leave your ball under the hole in preparation for your first putt.
